Our Amazing New Forest School Shelter
Built March 2021 by R T Landscapes
Due to covid restrictions, we had to put a hold on having our forest school shelter built last year so were delighted when our building works could finally begin. The forest school shelter will provide an amazing opportunity for all the children at Northlew Primary to participate in weekly outdoor sessions regardless of the weather. The children were very excited to return to school to see the new shelter in place and can’t wait to get started on the various other projects we have planned – mud kitchens, willow weaving and den building.
A huge thank to Rob Taylor from RT Landscapes for all the hard work over the past few weeks in constructing our new outdoor classroom. Our new forest school shelter will enable the staff and children to develop the learning opportunities further; enhancing play, exploration and supporting risk taking. In doing so it will develop the confidence and self-esteem of all our children through learner inspired, hands on experiences. |
