After School Clubs:
Spring Term 2023
- Cooking club on a Tuesday 3.30-4.30pm, available to years 1-6 (£1 per session).
- OCRA Indoor Sports club on a Wednesday from 3.30-4.30pm, available to years 1-6 (free of charge).
- Martial Arts club on a Thursday from 3.30-4.30pm, available to years 1-6 (£15 grading fee for each grading taken).
Please use your 'School Gateway' account to book your child onto any of these after school clubs. Places are limited and when a club is fully booked it will state ' 0 bookings available'.
Let the school office know if you would like your child to be added to the waiting list.
We currently have our Gardening Club running during lunchtime on a Tuesday, along with year 6 SATs club on a Monday. No booking necessary.
LEVEL 1
This level is about planning your gardening project and identifying the benefits to your school or group. Prizes Awarded A colourful growing year calendar full of tips and activities to do in the garden. LEVEL 2
By Level 2 you should be beginning to grow plants and use tools safely, and understand basic gardening terms. Prizes Awarded An RHS gardening book full of tips and guides plus a voucher for 30% off Bulldog Tools. LEVEL 3
Level 3 is about building on practical skills, growing a range of plants and understanding environmental issues. Prizes Awarded A Rocket Gardens voucher for three boxes of fruit and vegetable plants worth £150. LEVEL 4
At Level 4 you should be using tools professionally, growing and harvesting produce throughout the year, and beginning to fundraise for the garden. Prizes Awarded A Super Seed Bundle of Mr Fothergill's seeds worth over £100. LEVEL 5
At the final level, you should be sharing the garden with your local community and passing on skills to others. You should also be using the garden to teach curriculum subjects. Prizes Awarded £200 in National Garden Gift Vouchers, two 'RHS Five Star Gardening School' plaques to display in your garden and entrance hall, a USB card with the Level 5 logo to use on school stationery and your website, plus a framed certificate. |
